Tazewell-Woodford Head Start is always accepting applications for classroom-aides for the upcoming school year. Hours will be Monday-Friday 9-2 daily, and follow the Tazewell-Woodford Head Start Staff Calendar. A classroom aide will assist a lead teacher and teacher assistant in various duties in the Head Start classroom with children 3-5 years; including circle time, planned large and small groups, family style served meals and snacks, rest-time, and will fill in for the teacher/assistant during breaks. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a current physical(within 6 months), including up-to-date TB, and proof of immunizations (MMR and TDap). A qualified candidate will have at least an Associate’s Degree, however, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited College or University and be at least 19 years of age.
